Terms of Service
Before you launch: have this reviewed by a lawyer. This is a starting template, not legal advice.
These terms are an agreement between you and Alex Sanchez (“we”, “us”) for using Nexa. By creating an account you agree to them.
Who can use Nexa
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they agree to these terms for you.
Your account
Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at alexsanchezlofi@gmail.com if you think someone else is using it.
Your material
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us permission to store it and process it (including sending it to our AI provider) only to run Nexa for you. Only upload material you have the right to use. Don't upload anything illegal or anyone else's private information.
Using Nexa fairly
- Use Nexa to study. Don't use it to cheat on graded work where that's against your school's rules.
- Don't try to break, overload, copy or resell the service, or get around plan limits.
- Follow the usage policies of our AI provider, Anthropic.
AI answers can be wrong
Nexa uses AI to write quizzes, answers, notes and explanations. They can contain mistakes. Check anything important against your course material or teacher. Nexa is a study aid, not a guarantee of any grade.
Plans, payments and cancelling
- Free accounts have weekly limits shown in the app.
- Pro renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. If you start with a free trial, you'll be charged when it ends unless you cancel first.
- Finals Pass is a one-time payment for Pro access for the number of days shown at checkout.
- Pro includes a fair-use limit to keep the service working for everyone. If you reach it, Pro features pause until the next month.
- Cancel anytime from Manage billing in the app. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds: If you're unhappy, email alexsanchezlofi@gmail.com within 7 days of a charge and we'll refund it in full.
- We may change prices. If we do, we'll tell you before your next renewal.
Ending accounts
You can stop using Nexa at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
No warranty and limit of liability
Nexa is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If the changes are important, we'll tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Nexa means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
